The ASK That Makes The Difference
Our very own Charmaine Hammond will share her recent journey of the ripple effect associated with one simple ASK.
As a result of making a bold request, Charmaine’s path was altered, and her ‘playground’ became much bigger.
|
Enter the one and only Jack Canfield, to help her aspire to a new level. A reconnection with the art of writing, and a source of inspiration “Toby”, undeniable. From there, a chance opportunity to meet and subsequently collaborate with Janet Attwood, author of The Passion Test.
Charmaine and her colleague Debra successfully delivered “Align Your Passion Purpose and Power For 2010” this January. And she has graciously agreed to share with us, that which she has experienced and learned along the way.

Speaker Labs
CAPS Edmonton is introducing an exciting new component to the program for 2010—a Speaker Lab Series. This idea is still growing in scope and possibility and we plan to offer speaker labs on a regular basis.
Speaker Labs can include many components and is designed as an opportunity for speakers to:
- Test material and receive peer feedback
- Learn how to leverage new technologies, e.g. video-bios, podcasts, and teleseminars
- Advance your marketing and promotional resources, such as stills, one-pagers and related materials, eProfiles, etc.
- Learn about organizations who are potential strategic partners, e.g. eSpeakers, MPI, EdmontonSpeakers.com, to name a few
- Advance your commitment and confidence within the realm of speaking
Our first official Speaker Lab is scheduled for the March meeting. In February, at our regular CAPS meeting, you will learn about this exciting new initiative from several key players (Randy Ritz, Brent Taylor, Dan Holden) who will help you to prepare.
The March Speaker Lab is scheduled for the afternoon, where a guest panel will provide you with support and direction so that you may fully leverage your investment when filming your video-bio, securing stills, or learning about promotional tools and opportunities, while perhaps participating in a table-top symposium.
